Winterfest is a partnership event between Pioneer Camp Alberta and Alberta Parks to encourage people to get outside and enjoy the beauty of nature on the family day weekend. There will be parking at both Pioneer Camp and at Crimson Lake Provincial Park Day Use Area and guests are welcome to take part in the activities happening at both locations. There will be hot drinks  available all day and concessions with hot food and snacks available for purchase. Warm up in the Ranch House at Pioneer Camp and walk through our market, full of beautiful items from local artists and vendors. There will be free ski and snowshoe rentals all day, the lake will be available for skating and hockey and our beautiful team of Horses will be pulling a sleigh for guests to enjoy a ride on the gorgeous trails adjacent to crimson lake. Additionally in the early afternoon The Crimson Lake Provincial Park Day Use area will be home to the annual Freezin’ For a Reason Polar Plunge event!! Watch and cheer on these local fundraising heros as they plunge into the icy lake in support of their local causes. The events of the day will run from 11:00am-3:00pm.
