Caroline Wheels of Time Museum and Historical Village
The Caroline Wheels of Time Museum provides a charming trip back in time to when pioneers were settling in our area. We have a number of historic buildings through which our tour guide will take you. These include: our main building which has an exciting new display area this year; the Trunnel House, two stories of pioneer living, including a bath tub; the Anderson Cabin which is set up like a trapper’s cabin; the Fire Hall complete with an old fire wagon and a truck, an office (with an actual rotary phone!), and a lock-up (great for photos); our large one-room school house includes photos of past classes, desks and a piano; and the teacherage is the tiny house provided for the school teacher (some people still remember the last teacher who used it).
We invite you to come and explore the Museum and our Village. The Museum is open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. beginning on the May long weekend through the September long weekend. There are plenty of events throughout the summer to enjoy! This year (2019) we are working to acquire and move the historic Chedderville Church to our museum location.
